We are very proud of long time patient, Bill Ruck, who was inducted into the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame, August of 2014. He was active in the Navy and notably designed audio systems for NBC in the 2004 Summer Olympics. Currently he is a principal radio engineer at CSI Telecommunications. Mr. Ruck is a third generation San Franciscan who volunteers regularly at the Maritime Radio Historical Society. Dental Patient Receives Prestigious Award
Our patient, well
known San Francisco music director and orchestra conductor, Joan Murray, has
received the Bay Area Jefferson Award. She appeared on Channel 5
recently explaining her commitment to bringing music and orchestra
participation into the lives of San Francisco children. Twenty years
ago, she founded the Golden Gate Philharmonic which is an after school youth
orchestra that reaches out to children from all walks of life, including the
underprivileged. She opens her home and her heart to this
all-encompassing project and has had great success. Dr.
Presley-Nelson’s sons were a part of GGP for many of their childhood years, as an
adjunct to their participation in school orchestras at West Portal Lutheran and
SF School Of the Arts. Dr. Presley-Nelson volunteered teaching music
and assisting Ms. Murray for most of those years. We are proud to
have her in our patient family and honor her achievement and recognition here
on our website. (She is also a wonderful dental patient and refers
us many lovely people.) Go Ms. Murray!
