DR. PRESLEY-NELSON RETURNS TO TEACHING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF THE PACIFIC, DUGONI SCHOOL OF DENTISTRY

Dr. Presley-Nelson, as you may know, taught dental school for many years, 2-3 days a week, while practicing in her private office 3-4 days.  She became an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral Diagnosis and Treatment Planning, helped developed the video exam, to test students with a movie of procedures, and lectured on various topics.

Having a family curtailed her academic career, and she focused on her home and office only, until recently.  Now that her sons are college aged, she has added teaching at UOP Dental School back into her busy schedule.  She now is a Clinical Instructor, checking each step of all different procedures being performed on patients coming to the dental school clinic, from fillings and crowns to dentures.  She enjoys interacting with the students, faculty, and the wonderful patients.   Here you see her in the daily clinical garb, moving from cubicle to cubicle in the dental clinic.
